The Young Professionals Program of Northern Fairfield County is designed to attract and retain young talent to the Northern Fairfield County Region by creating a program that will energize, engage, and empower professionals aged 21 to 35, from a cross-section of careers. This is achieved by connecting with peers, learning from leaders, growing professionally through career development, and giving back.
Networking
Networking is a key component of the program. Members and guests gather at these informal meetings to conduct business, make new contacts and develop leads. Events will be hosted in some of Northern Fairfield’s premier hot spots and unique venues that have specific offerings for young adults. Upcoming events will include Beer Tastings, a Holiday Party, Dodgeball, Sports Bar Tournaments and more.
Professional Development
In between networking events, roundtable forums will be held to explore relevant topics such as conflict resolution in the workplace, your professional image, navigating LinkedIn, how to network, sales techniques and more.
Emerging Leaders
Twice a year, the Young Professionals of Northern Fairfield County will host Career and Professional Development workshops or seminars that will cover topics such as public speaking, interviewing skills, resume workshops, personality and career assessments and more.
Giving Back
Throughout the year the Young Professionals Program members will partner with local Non-Profits to assist various projects to give back to their communities.
Mentoring
Young Professionals Program members who request a mentor will be given one. More to come on this.
